Rosemary Beach

As I sit here in the quaint Cowgirl Kitchen restaurant enjoying a totally unique “Drunken Cowgirl” pizza, the thought that continuously runs through my mind is that there may not be another place quite like Rosemary Beach anywhere else in the entire state of Florida. Equal parts La Jolla, California and Weikershein, Germany, this gorgeous beach town feels remarkably homey with natural open fields, wood, cobblestone roads and the Bavarian architecture. The streets are lined with eclectic shops and stores and people walking slow paces to take it all in. Everywhere you can smell freshly cooked foods, hear laughter and truly feel like you’re on vacation.
There is a richness and a timeless quality to Rosemary. It’s colorful and charming and, as a writer, it is a poet’s paradise. From end to end it inspires. If you head out, you have to try Cowgirl Kitchen, ask for Shawn and get the Drunken Cowgirl pizza, then spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying one of the areas most unique towns. I talked to a few patrons at Cowgirl Kitchen and they told me living in Rosemary is like being in a movie. “There is no script,” one of them said, “Everything just works perfectly.” That’s about how I would describe it too; the place is just amazing.

Rosemary Beach is an intoxicating beachfront community that is nothing short of breathtaking. You would be forgiven for thinking you had stepped straight into a picture-perfect Bavarian village, yet the quaint and intimate atmosphere blends beautifully with its casual Florida vibe. An elegant downtown houses sophisticated shops, accommodations, sidewalk cafes (Cowgirl Kitchen has pizza to die for) and even a charming little post office. This feels like a whole world away from Panama City Beach, yet is just minutes away and most definitely worth the drive.

Just curious why the push to the West for PCBDaily and SeePCB. I agree these are great attractions for us in PCB – especially for those of us toward the Westend.
Just curious about while the reachout toward SWC?
They have some great ideas over there and some good programs over there that we could learn from. For example – recylcing! They have implemented a Blue Bag program in SWC that I assume is working for them.
The goal is to encourage more of a co-op with our friends to the west. As you said, they have great programs and ideas that we could implement and vice-versa. With the new airport coming online, Panama City Beach will inevitably go westward and 30A may very well become a part of Panama City Beach in the minds of many. Oh, and recycling is definitely something PCB has to do a better job with.
Yes they are beautiful towns but beauty is only skin deep. from the people who manage these towns to the people who live there full time there is nothing attractive about them. Crude arrogant and egotistic to name a few descriptions. And as for the blue bag program that worked for a whopping two weeks until going green wasn’t cool anymore. Haven’t seen a blue bag in well over 14 months, not a single one and I work in these communities everyday. Not to burst the bubble here but cowgirl kitchen sucks, not only is it overpriced it is weird and thrown together. With a sandwich you get tortilla chips plain no salsa and a cornbread muffin. Carb on top of carb no wonder it called cow girl eat there enough and that is what you’ll look like. Brunos has the best pizza hands down on 30-a.
