Under clear skies and a full orange moon, Beach Mice grooved all of Panama City Beach into the night during Thursday’s Pier Park Concert. And if you missed Beach Mice, man-o-man, did you miss one awesome show! Beach Mice, an amazingly talented band, covered everything from Otis Redding to Weezer and even Kanye West. The place was packed, the air cool and the music just perfect. On a personal note, the violin solo played by one of the band members was the most incredible piece of music I’ve even seen played live. Hope you didn’t miss it.
Here’s The Recap!

Then again, Liza’s owners, Mike, the skilled chef and his a creative sommelier-wife, were both trained in the art of fine dining, an art offered to the two-dozen or so enrolled in Liza’s once-a-month cooking class.
This month’s class was based on the upcoming movie, “Julie and Julia,” and Mike prepared a feast based on French recipes from Julia Child’s famous book. Each recipe was carefully chosen, prepared in detail and absolutely delicious. So, here is the run down:
The Courses:
Before I get into the food, let me set the scene for you. Tables draped in white, glasses fi...
