I love the 80′s – GENEVA
If you love 80′s rock and long for the days of big hair, hard music and the free-spirit of the time, you’re going to love Geneva.
Originally from Nashville, TN the band “”GENEVA”" has been touring for 10 years headlining concerts and opening for many national acts. In 2003 they were chosen by the USO to be the first band to entertain our troops in the Middle East since the start of Operation Iraqi Freedom. They played 11 different countries and the 27 day tour was a major success.
In 2003 while playing at the world famous Buffalo Chip Campground in Sturgis, SD the group quickly decided that they were exactly where they needed to be. Their style of music and rock image has been very excepted by the biker community.
Sexy lead singer, Geneva Keene is not your ordinary Nashville starlet. She is also a songwriter, model and actress. She has a sexy, raspy vocal style that reaches right in and grabs you from her first song to her last! Geneva’s leather and lace image and high energy live performances has gotten rave reviews at every venue. She has been featured in many biker publications, videos and magazines. Geneva’s brother, guitarist, Rusty Keene also from Nashville, joined the band several years ago. He in his own right is a very talented and accomplished singer, songwriter and musician. His 70s’ and 80s’ rock influenced playing style is a compliment to the bands
sound and stage show. Rusty is the second lead vocalist in the group.
Keyboard and bass player Gary Craig from Huntsville, Alabama also joined the band a few years back. He is very talented. His style of playing is an intricate part of the bands huge sound. Gary also sings lead on several numbers and blends back up harmonies wherever needed. Dwayne Jones from Wheelersburg, Ohio has many titles in this group. He is the drummer, band leader, producer and booking agent for Geneva. He has been a major
member of the band for the past 10 years. He moved to Nashville over 10 years ago. There he met lead singer Geneva Keene, recognized her talent and offered to bring her into the studio to record their first cd intitled “”The Flame”". They decided to take the show on the road and they have been touring full time ever since.
As a band, together these talented young people have created a sound and stage show that consists of many styles of music including classic 80s’ and southern rock, a hint of country, a touch of blues and dance tunes. Their original matierial touches on each members own personal style and the blend is a perfect combination. They have shared
the stage with national acts such as: Travis Tritt, Molly Hatchet, Great White, Alice Cooper, Kid Rock, Trick Pony, John Kay & Steppenwolf, Tesla, Warrant, Billy Ray Cyrus, the late Johnny Cash and many others. They have recorded 3 cds including their current “”A Little Bit of Everything”" and are currently working on a new cd and dvd which will be
released this summer.
