On Thursday night, “Rollin in the Hay” unleashed its rendition of renegade new-grass at Pier Park’s summer concerts spurring a get-up-and-get-down atmosphere that no other concert yet has produced. Throughout the entire evening people were out of their seats and standing on blankets to dance the night away. “Hay’s” thrilling renegade new-grass, complete with a raging mandolin and one seriously amazing washboard, really changed the way I saw bluegrass music. The concert was a huge success, filling the amphitheater with nearly 3,000 people. Everyone had a great time.
