When tourists vacation to Panama City Beach…

there are some things that come standard: gorgeous beach, loads of sun and good fun for the whole family. But few places on the beach offer the perfect blend of first-class accommodations and ease of access to all that PCB has to offer like The Majestic Beach Resort.

This modern and impressive condo-resort, gives you the best of Panama City Beach and more at a more than reasonable price. Vibrant and versatile, the Majestic is capable of accommodating family vacations, romantic getaways, business meetings and weddings with relative ease—and the word “ease” truly describes this gorgeous two-tower resort.

The Concept:

The Majestic’s concept is all about simplicity in versatility. From the hotel-esque, porte cochere access for registration to the second check-in counter, the goal is to get you from a car packed with kids and luggage to lying on the beach as quickly as possible. Pull in, check-in and you’re off to a room with front row views to the “World’s Most Beautiful Beach.”

Modern in design and beaming with bright, tropical colors, The Majestic exudes a style that’s equal parts Polynesian and futuristic; blending natural tiles and palm trees with pure white and blue tones. Around every corner throughout the building are gorgeous waterfalls, delightful appointments and amenities ongoing. From top to bottom, The Majestic is packed with so many features, so many amenities and has analyzed every detail that no matter what type of getaway you’re seeking, you feel right at home.

Located in the heart of Front Beach Road, a.k.a The Miracle Strip, guests enjoy easy access to Panama City Beach’s exciting nightlife as well as trendy restaurants and family activities within walking distance. The Majestic has totally mastered the blend of elegance, beachy-ness and total ease.

The Rooms:

The rooms at The Majestic vary in design, but all flaunt the same hi-end features. In every room, regardless of size or design, guests enjoy big, fluffy pillowtop mattresses, Hi-Def flat screen televisions, the very latest in appliances and huge panoramic balcony views.

The Majestic offers a myriad of room size choices. Those choices include: Studio, One bedroom, Two bedroom and Three Bedroom that come in standard form, deluxe, plus bunk or a very large deluxe plus bunk. I visited the deluxe three bedroom plus bunk, which has more than enough room for the whole family and the in-laws, not to mention enough balcony space for everyone to enjoy the beach at once. Here are a few of the layouts:

The Amenities:

A long list of high-quality amenities is what distinguishes The Majestic from anywhere else on Panama City Beach. The minute you cross over the windowed sky-walk, you’ll notice the The Majestic Market, an onsite store serving up souvenirs, snacks and even Starbucks coffee.

The Majestic has four pools in total, more than enough water to keep everyone happy and splashing. They have two outdoor pools with gaping gulf views. The outdoor pools have adjacent hot tubs with immediate access to the “H2O Bar and Grill” where guests can order from a great selection of favorites like crab claws and burgers as well as the coldest drinks on the beach. Inside, The Majestic has a one indoor pool with windows for beach views and another covered pool for those who burn easy.

After you’ve hit the beach, the pools and chowed down on a big cheeseburger from H2O, you’ll have ample opportunity to work it off in the state-of-the-art fitness center, Majestic Health Club. The Health Club, fully stocked with Life Fitness equipment, male and female lockers as well as a sauna and a steam room, is a free part of the package when you book your stay.

The Majestic also has the most advanced meeting space on Panama City Beach. Whether meetings or receptions The Majestic has the staff and facilities to host functions both big and small. There are a total of four partitioned meeting spaces with exceptional audio-visual equipment capable of holding a total of 600 people in a warm and comfortable atmosphere for any agenda.

On top of all this, one of the most unique features of The Majestic is the 120 seat fully licensed movie theater. This theater, complete with hi-definition projection displays and surround sound, shows movies every weekend for any of the resort guests and doubles as a stylish presentation room for big meetings.

The Price:

On and Off seasonal rates at The Majestic vary, but remain reasonable. Nightly Summer rates for a one bedroom plus bunk will fall somewhere between $199.00 to $224.00. For a larger two bedroom plus bunks guests will see prices fall around $269.00 to $294.00. Summer rates for a huge three bedroom plus bunk for $349.00 to 379.00. Off season rates drop big. For the same two bedroom you’d see rates around $159.00 to 197.00. Three bedrooms drop to $261.00 a night. Monthly rates are available, but require your inquiry for pricing.

The Bottom Line:
Honestly, I found it difficult to write this article and be unbiased. Truth be told, I had my own wedding reception at the Majestic and it was amazing. The staff was great, the room was relaxing and the event is stapled in my mind as one of the better experiences of my life. So, frankly, I love the Majestic Beach Towers. Just the same, I think you’ll love it too. They have so many amenities and everything is just so darn easy. And, really, who doesn’t love easy?

The Majestic Beach Towers Resort is located at 10901 Front Beach Road Panama City Beach, FL 32408. For more information or for reservations please call (866) 494-3364 or (850) 236-3908

So what’s the truth?

5. Pet Friendliness

You’d be shocked at how many vacationers make the assumption that all Panama City Beach accommodations are pet friendly. In fact, the truth couldn’t be more opposed. So many vacationers don’t ask the hotel and bring Fido along only lose their reservation on the account of the hotel/condo not accepting pets. If you intend to bring your dog or cat or your albino Burmese python, you might want to call ahead before you hit the book button. While definitely in the minority, there are some pet friendly accommodations on Panama City Beach and the need for others to get on board is growing. But do call before bringing any furry friends.

4. Gulf View vs Gulf Front

Not all Panama City Beach rooms are gulf front. No, really, it’s true. And even while some accommodations are sitting on the gulf front, not all the rooms within them have gulf views. This is the root of many upset vacationers expecting to wake up every morning to the sound of absconding sea, only to wake up to roadside or a nice blank wall. When booking a room, ask if the room is gulf front. If the operator says “yes, our rooms are gulf view,” this doesn’t necessarily mean that your room is directly facing the gulf. You may have a room that faces the pool and has a gulf view from a particular angle. Don’t be afraid to require confirmation before booking. Is it gulf front or gulf view? These people get paid to answer that question just for you.

3.Spring Breakers Destroy Everything

Every year, from the end of February to the beginning of April, Panama City Beach is overrun with college students looking to take a party break from school. While in the past, Panama City Beach has been the Spring Break Capital of the World, the identity of the city has changed, and so too, more and more, is that perception. Still, though, the kids to PCB come and they come to party. Because of this, vacationers are sometimes reluctant to vacation to PCB for fear those breakers broke everything they could get their hands on. In rare situations this is true, but very rare. All students under 25 are required to pay up front cash security deposits anywhere from $200.00 to $500.00. If anything is broken, they lose that money. So the kids have fun, but desperately want that money back; how else are they going to get back to school? In addition, not all accommodations accept the under 25 crowd and simply don’t rent during that season. Panama City Beach accommodations are required to have security on property, in some cases off duty police officers, to make sure property isn’t destroyed in any way.

2. Costs

This one is a biggy. So you want to book a Panama City Beach room and you believe calling direct, 8 months ahead of schedule, will get you the best rate. While you are more likely to be guaranteed a room by booking early, that does not mean you’ll get the best price. In another scenario, you’ve been reluctant to book early hoping you might save money by taking advantage of last-minute specials, only to find every hotel/condo you wanted completely sold out. It’s a tough go either way you look at it. But, Panama City Beach is lucky to be affiliated at home with booking services like BOOKIT.com. That gives potential vacationers the ability to do some serious price comparisons. Call the hotel/condo direct, get a price, then check out online services and compare. You are more likely to find a great deal as well as a few awesome package deals that include things like food, attractions and even free gas into one price. But do be careful. Some accommodations have additional fees. While you may think you’ve found a great deal, keep in mind that the base rate isn’t the only thing that will determine your total bill. Be sure to ask what taxes, resort fees, parking costs, energy surcharges, and other odds and ends will apply to your final tally. Even if one hotel has a lower base rate, it may end up being a more expensive option once all the extras are added in.

1. Overcrowded/Loud

Most vacationers, including myself, vacation for many reasons, none more important than just relaxing…getting away from everything. Panama City Beach’s biggest myth is that it is overcrowded and loud during the vacation season making it difficult to truly relax. The truth is, yes there are lots of people vacationing just like you, but there’s more than enough space and opportunity to just relax. In fact, many of the accommodations on Panama City Beach have added features like in-house spas, movie theaters, bars and restaurants to allow you full detachment. So you can just sit back, enjoy the beach and really, really relax.

Choosing the perfect accommodations for your vacation is often the most important decision of your entire getaway and the most difficult to make. On Panama City Beach, there are lots of choice hotels with lots of amenities. But there are also just as many elegant condominiums. Problem is, when you get ready to book, which way do you go?

There are pros and cons in booking either a Panama City Beach hotel or condo. Mostly, they offer a lot of similar accommodations and amenities. Still, here at SeePCB.com, we’ve decided to outline the differences for you, so you make the right decision for your vacation.

The Pros:

Condos

Size: In most cases, condos are great for families or an individual just trying to getaway. Panama City Beach condos offer extravagant decors and layouts and dynamite facilities on property. A condo unit can be as small as a studio or as large as a four bedroom. The size, for most people, changes the overall cost. Rather than one family occupying a room, two or three can occupy a single accommodation cutting the cost pretty significantly.

Decor: Although some units are designed by their owners (who aren’t always the most stylish designers) others are designed by a very strict guideline which means your unit will most likely be professionally furnished and rather tastefully appointed. Some of those requirements include flat screen TVs, DVD players, pillowtop mattresses and top-line appliances.

Kitchens: Cooking while on vacation is a luxury some can’t do without while others reject the very idea of such a thing. It’s still a nice option to have at your disposal. Panama City Beach condos not only offer the use of the facility but require it to be fully stocked with dinnerware and silverware.

Hotels

Price/Value: Not all hotels are within your budget, but most are less expensive than condominiums on average for all of Panama City Beach. With that price some hotels offer packages and a myriad of free amenities for every family member.

Service: Hotels on Panama City Beach are known for service. The staff at most beach hotels are available 24 hours and will usually bend over backwards to help you. Let’s say, for example, you arrive at 11pm and your room is next to some rowdy kids. What can you do? Go to the front desk and move. It’s that simple.

Consistent Quality: Most rooms are relatively the same in décor. That may sound off-putting initially, but when after you’ve checked into a room that resembles your son’s dorm-room while your buddy checks into the sweetest digs ever just down the hall, you might reconsider.

And now… The Cons:

Condos

Cost: Typically, condominiums cost more and in turn offer better quality and amenities. However, when you’re on a budget and just squeezed in the extra forty bucks a night, the cleaning fee and non-refundable deposits will usually be the point at which you turn to tears.

Service Although, some condominiums during the busy season keep front desk staff and linen runners, most don’t. That little difference will be awfully handy if you run out of toilet paper or soap.

Checkout Procedures: So you were thinking you were just going to drop off your keys at the front desk and be on your way, huh? Nope. You may have to actually do some chores before you leave; clean the fridge, wash the dishes, take out the trash, reset the thermostat and find all the remotes or you might be charged. Spouses take note.

Hotels

Size: A standard hotel room is not very large and has all its furnishings in one room. So if you’ve planned a romantic getaway but have to bring the kids, you might want to go ahead and start saving for the inevitable psychiatry.

Amenities: Albeit, most hotel grounds are full of great amenities, the rooms often lack such charm. What you often get is a balcony, beds, desk, television, armoire and bathroom; for some that is more than enough, others who might be expecting a kitchen or washer and dryer will find this a bit of a turn off.

So Who Wins?

To be honest, we like them both. We love the classic feel of a beachfront hotel as well as the comfort of a nice condo. For those vacationing to Panama City Beach, it’s more about the better fit for your situation. While price is often the deciding factor on vacations, consider the value to you in that price and ask yourself; will you get everything you want out of your vacation? If service and comfort mean more to you than price, evaluate the destination accommodation thoroughly before booking. Most of all, ask questions. Don’t assume anything. Not all condos come with washers and dryers and not all beach hotels are passé. Answering your queries, however outlandish, is the reason desk clerks and property managers get paid. So ask away and don’t be shy, because the real winner in the choice of hotel or condo should be you.
