I'm afraid we have to agree with Jamie about the "Wine Festival" insinuations!

. The "Music" part of the event was great!
. The "Seafood" part was just OK. We expected better particpation from a lot more of the many excellent seafood restaurants in PCB. Why didn't the crew at Dusty's set up a real, raw oyster bar, or the Pasta Grill show up with some of their incredible fried calamari in ginger sauce?
. The "Festival" part was actually pretty good as it did have a festival feel to it and they did have some activities for old and young.
. The "Wine" part though was indeed pretty pitiful. They should remove WINE from the name of the event or they should truly set up a wine tasting with at least 40-50 wines and charge a few dollars extra for participation. That, or call it the Panama City Beach Seafood, Beer, and Music Festival!

EVERY YEAR! THE SAME PROBLEM. GET YOUR FOOD AND NOWHERE TO SIT AND EAT IT DUE TO SQUATTERS USING THE EATING TENT/CHAIRS TO PEOPLE WATCH OR MOVE OUT TO TO FIELD TO WATCH CONCERT.
USE 3-4 FOOT NETTING AROUND ENTIRE TENT WITH 2-4 ENTRANCES. POST PERSONNEL AT THOSE ENTRANCES TO NOT LET CHAIRS LEAVE TENT AND HAVE PERSONNEL CLEAR TABLES OF SQUATTERS NOT EATING AND MOVE THEM OUT OF THE EATING TENT. REAL EASY FIX! JUST HAVE TO ENFORCE IT. WITNESSED 100'S OF PEOPLE STANDING AND EATING BESIDE TABLES OF RUDE PEOPLE SITTING THERE AN TALKING. THOSE VERY RUDE NEED TO MOVE OUT IF THEY ARE NOT EATING. THEY JST ATE SO MOVE TO LET OTHERS EAT. OLDER FOLKS JUST NEED TO BTRING THEIR OWN CHAIRS IF THEY WANT TO SIT ALL NIGHT. KEEP ALL CHAIRS INSIDE THE TENT WITH LIMITED ACCESS!

We attended the "Seafood, Wine and Music Festival" on Saturday, Oct. 10, mostly because of Styx. The music was, of course. awesome! We have seen Styx several times and they sounded better than ever. And there was abundant seafood at the Festival. The "Wine" part, however, was to say the least misleading. When we arrived at around 7:00 p.m. (having spent over 20 minutes between the turnoff on Back Beach Road and the actual parking lot due to questionable engineering) we were informed that the "wine tasting" was only at 4:00 p.m. and none of those wines were for sale. The ONLY wine that was available was Barefoot Cellars and there was no Cabernet whatsoever. Frankly, we were shocked. I don't want to be insulting to Barefoot Cellars, but I am from California and when I attend an event including the term "Wine.. Festival" I am expecting a bit more, um, selection of various quality wines on the menu... I feel that it really should not be necessary to say more at this point. We had a good time but if in fact there was only 1 brief "wine tasting" at 4:00 p.m., I think it probably would have been better and more truthful to have left the "Wine" part out of the advertised description of the event.
