Treasure Ship ExteriorAlmost everyone who either lives in Panama City Beach or has vacationed here is familiar with the Treasure Ship on Grand Lagoon. This full scale replica of a 17th century Spanish galleon – Sir Francis Drake’s Golden Hind, is a family-friendly Panama City Beach landmark and offers fantastic dining options for all budgets and tastes. At 200 feet in length, the Treasure Ship was built in 1978 and has been a much loved part of the Panama City Beach landscape ever since. Check out our guide to the three restaurants of the Treasure Ship, and be sure to stop by for sensational food, live entertainment and spectacular views!

Hooks 2Level One – Hook’s Grille & Grog. If you’re looking for a casual lunch or dinner complete with gorgeous waterfront views, this dockside eatery is hard to beat. Looking out over Grand Lagoon, diners at Hook’s Grill & Grog can enjoy watching the charter boats unload their catch on the docks, and soak in the balmy breezes and friendly atmosphere. Choose from either an outdoor table on the patio or a spot inside, then kick back and relax. The menu features Caribbean cuisine, seafood specialties and more. Sandwiches, salads, appetizers and fried seafood favorites are all made using the freshest ingredients and are bursting with flavor. There’s also a full bar where you can enjoy a cool drink and some great company. Try the famous Oyster Shooter – a fresh Apalachicola oyster swimming in vodka with a dash of Tabasco, or perhaps a slice of the award winning Key Lime Pie – made with real key lime juice from the Florida Keys. Treat yourself to both for a sensory overload!

Treasure Ship cuisineLevel Two – The Main Dining Room. This popular restaurant serves up two great reasons to dine here – panoramic Lagoon views and spectacular cuisine. The restaurant offers a traditional steak and seafood fare, featuring certified Angus beef steaks and fresh local seafood harvested from the Gulf of Mexico. House specialties include pecan crusted grouper – encrusted with pecans and fine herbs, grilled and finished with a light lemon butter garlic sauce, and seafood au gratin – jumbo lump crabmeat, gulf shrimp and fresh fish baked in a rich cheese sauce and topped with breadcrumbs. The atmosphere is family-friendly, with tableside visits from pirates who will entertain kids by making balloon animals and painting faces.

crab legsLevel Three – Captain Crabby’s. The top level of the Treasure Ship opens onto the spacious outdoor deck bar and Captain Crabby’s restaurant. This steamed seafood restaurant is home to the “All You Can Eat Crab Legs Feast” as well as steamed prime rib or shrimp served fresh to your table. Enjoy a delicious meal complemented by stunning Lagoon views for an unparalled dining experience.

The Treasure Ship is practically a destination in itself, as in addition to its three incredible restaurants, visitors can climb aboard for great views and photo opportunities, plus shop for unique gifts and treasures. The gift shop has the best selection of pirate-inspired gifts, toys and apparel in town, including a wide variety of T. Shirts, jewelry and beach accessories. There may not be any cannons firing at this Treasure Ship, but one thing’s for certain – you’ll most definitely have a “blast”.

  1. What no mention of Acoustix and their music? They have been a staple at the Treasure Ship for 15 years and bring in a lot of repeat customers. A major assett for Ship for sure. Its a shame they get no mention
