The Impressive Legacy-by-the-Sea Resort

Having myself stayed at Legacy-by-the Sea a while ago and been seriously impressed, I felt it only fitting to write a piece on this great resort. In my opinion, Legacy is one of Panama City Beach’s top choices, for several reasons. The location is fantastic, just minutes away from Pier Park, opposite Gulf World, and sitting on a prime spot of sugar-white beach. There’s several dining options within walking distance, including Sharkey’s and the Barefoot Beach Club, and the resort itself is first class. Here’s an overview of the guest suites and amenities.

Accommodations
The 14 story Legacy-by-the-Sea offers 139 guest accommodations, about three-quarters of which feature a full kitchen and living area. More than just a “standard suite”, the rooms resemble a one bedroom condominium in terms of both space and amenities. Guests will love the cozy, welcoming feel and will feel right at home. The bedroom area features either two double beds or one king-size, a large TV, and a private balcony with sweeping oceanfront views so close you almost feel as though you’re on the beach itself. Your kitchen features a stove, full size fridge/freezer, built-in microwave, toaster and coffee maker, and the living room provides a relaxing area with a couch where you can sprawl out and watch TV. The private balcony is also accessible from the living room, so you can eat breakfast or watch the glorious sunset from the comfort of your suite. There are even lavish penthouse and Jacuzzi suites available if you are looking for that extra touch of luxury.

Amenities
From the moment you walk into the elegant lobby at Legacy, you are immediately met with stunning gulf views through the floor to ceiling glass windows. This provides the perfect start to your stay, and an ideal setting for the complimentary continental breakfast that is available to all guests. The heated outdoor pool with kid’s area and the whirlpool are both gulf-front, making it easy to enjoy both the pool and the beach without any effort. Been relaxing poolside and ready to make a splash in the waves? It’s just a hop, skip and a jump to the sand. Perhaps you’ve been kicked back on the beach all day and you’re ready to cool off in your room. You’re just steps away. There’s a fitness center on-site for those wishing to burn some of those vacation calories, a shuffleboard, playground and picnic area, and a laundry facility for added guest convenience. Online access is available in the lobby, and free high speed internet access from your suite. Other great amenities include free weekday newspaper, free airport shuttle, free kid’s meal with every adult meal purchased at the neighboring Barefoot Beach Club, and on-site security.
